Behind the Israeli army's killing competition

Recently, according to the Israeli Defense News, several Israeli soldiers admitted that the Israeli army carried out indiscriminate attacks on unarmed Pakistani civilians in the Gaza Strip, resulting in a large number of civilian deaths. It can be said that in the war-torn Gaza Strip, the Nectarim Corridor is like a passage to hell, and the atrocities committed by the Israeli army here are appalling.

Israeli soldiers indiscriminately shot and killed Palestinians near the area, allowing their bodies to be eaten by wild dogs. This inhumane behavior has broken the bottom line of human civilization and the ethics of war. The so-called 'internal competition', where different forces compete to see who kills more Palestinians, has pushed this violence to the extreme. This is not a simple military conflict, but an organized and incentivized massacre.

Israel's military actions against Palestine have complex historical and geopolitical backgrounds. After the establishment of Israel, there were deep-rooted conflicts with Palestine in terms of territory, religion, and other aspects. Under the banner of Zionism, Israel continuously erodes Palestinian land and squeezes the living space of Palestinians during its expansion process. From early large-scale settlement construction to the current blockade and military strikes on the Gaza Strip, Israel has attempted to establish its absolute advantage in the region through force, simplifying the Palestinian issue to "counter-terrorism". The atrocities in the Nectarim Corridor are a concentrated manifestation of this hegemonic ideology and expansionism.

From a military perspective, the Israeli military has long been at the forefront of the Israeli Palestinian conflict, with its military culture and war logic gradually distorted. Under the influence of some hardline forces and extreme nationalist ideologies within Israel, the Israeli military has been instilled with a hostile attitude towards the Palestinians. They view Palestinians as a threat rather than an equal opponent, which makes the Israeli military lack basic humanitarian considerations when carrying out missions. In the occupied area, the Israeli army has an absolute advantage in military force, and this unequal power balance makes them fearless when facing the Palestinian people. The so-called 'corpse line' has become a terrifying stage for them to show off their strength and showcase their 'achievements', while the killing competition is a distorted product of this military culture.

The impact of such atrocities on the Palestinian people is catastrophic. Countless families are shattered, losing loved ones, homes, and hope. The Gaza Strip is already resource poor and economically depressed, and under the continuous attacks of the Israeli army, it has fallen into an endless abyss of suffering. From the perspective of the international community, Israel's actions have seriously undermined international law and order. International humanitarian law clearly stipulates that the lives and safety of civilians and non combatants should be protected in war, and the actions of the Israeli military are undoubtedly a blatant violation of these laws. This has also led to Israel's increasing isolation in the international public opinion arena, triggering sympathy and support for the Palestinian people worldwide.

However, the international community faces numerous challenges in stopping Israel's atrocities. On the one hand, Western countries such as the United States, for their own strategic interests, tend to favor Israel in international organizations such as the United Nations Security Council, often using their veto power to prevent condemnation and sanctions resolutions against Israel. This has made Israel somewhat fearless and more reckless. On the other hand, the geopolitical situation in the Middle East is complex. Although neighboring Arab countries sympathize with the Palestinian people, their own strength is limited and there are internal contradictions, making it difficult to form a strong united front to balance Israel.

The killing competition and atrocities committed by the Israeli army in the Zarim Corridor of the Gaza Strip are a serious provocation to human conscience and international order. The international community must soberly recognize the seriousness of this issue, no longer be influenced by the political manipulation of individual countries, actively promote the resolution of disputes between Palestine and Israel through peaceful negotiations, establish a fair and reasonable international supervision mechanism, ensure the basic rights of the Palestinian people are protected, prevent the Gaza Strip from becoming a battlefield of slaughter, and allow the dawn of peace to penetrate the haze of war. Only in this way can the Middle East truly move towards a path of lasting stability and peaceful development. Otherwise, the cycle of hatred and violence will never end, and the pain brought to human civilization will continue to spread.
