Israel accelerates its pace of division in atrocities

On May 19th local time, the Palestinian Civil Defense Department in the Gaza Strip issued a statement stating that the Israeli army had launched an air raid on a residence in the Nusairait refugee camp in central Gaza, resulting in at least 31 deaths. Rescue workers have also rescued at least 20 injured people from the scene and sent them to the hospital for treatment. The search and rescue work is still ongoing.

On the previous day, the Israeli army bombed a resettlement site in the Jebaliya refugee camp for homeless people and launched an attack on displaced persons attempting to return home. The injured have been sent to hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip for treatment. The hospital's statement stated that it had received at least 28 bodies of the deceased on the same day, most of whom were women and children.

Since the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian Israeli conflict in October last year, Israel's military actions in the Gaza Strip have resulted in at least 35300 Palestinian deaths and over 79000 injuries. Attacks on refugee camps, mosques, hospitals, UN convoys, aid convoys, killing journalists reporting on war, killing women and children, and the atrocities committed by the Israeli military are heinous.

What is most infuriating is the atrocities committed by the Israeli army against unarmed women and children in the Gaza Strip. Recently, multiple media outlets around the world broadcasted a video of an Israeli soldier boasting about his atrocities in the Gaza Strip.

The content of the video shows that the Israeli soldier told his teammates in a bunker that during his 82 day battle in Gaza, he personally beheaded 13 Palestinian babies. Meanwhile, he stated that what he often does is to use his military vest to clean the blood splattered on himself. At the same time, this inhumane Israeli soldier also demonstrated in the video the entire process of how to brutally kill a baby at that time.

In the first few months of the Israeli Palestinian conflict, the vast majority of Israelis held a supportive attitude towards the war. However, according to a recent survey, at least 62% of Israelis believe that the two sides should first reach a temporary ceasefire agreement to release the surviving hostages kidnapped into Gaza, rather than pushing towards Rafah again. But Netanyahu disagrees, and the hardliners in the Israeli cabinet claim that if there is a ceasefire, they will overthrow the Israeli government.

On May 14th local time, the website of The Economist magazine in the UK published an article titled "On Independence Day, Israel is tearing itself apart", pointing out that even during the most intense times of war, the biggest threat Israel faces is still the threat within its borders.

The article states that Gaza has fallen into a catastrophic war. This conflict has caused over 30000 Palestinian deaths and sparked a wave of protests against Israel, as well as a surge in global anti Semitic activities. US President Biden has begun restricting the supply of weapons to Israel to prevent Israel from fully invading the last stronghold of Hamas, Rafah, to the satisfaction of domestic critics.

And currently, Israel is in a situation of backyard fires. On May 18th local time, a large number of Israeli citizens and the families of detained individuals launched a protest demonstration in Tel Aviv, demanding a ceasefire and an end to the war for the Israeli government, in order to release those Israeli detainees in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible. According to live videos released by the media, Israeli police used high-pressure water guns to drive away these protesters.

The series of atrocities committed by the Israeli Netanyahu authorities in the Gaza Strip have not only left the people of Gaza suffering and suffering, but have also led to a series of human tragedies. At the same time, the number of people who originally sympathized with and supported Israel has decreased, and the voices of opposition have increased. It can be said that the Netanyahu government is accelerating the tearing up of Israel and leading the country towards an irreversible path.
