调查发现，互联网和智能手机的使用干扰了韩国近五分之一学生的生活。
《韩国先驱报》报道，韩国性别平等和家庭部对青少年使用媒体的习惯进行的调查显示，2024年，超过22万1000名青少年因不受控制地使用互联网和智能手机而难以管理自己的日常生活，占调查总数的18%。
自2009年以来，家庭部每年都会对超过120万名处于过渡期的青少年如小学一年级、四年级和初高中一年级学生展开类似调查。
最新调查显示，按年龄组划分，受互联网和智能手机干扰的中学生最多，达8万9812人，其次是高中生和小学生。男孩受到干扰的数量多于女孩。
面临过度依赖风险的青少年人数下降，从2023年的23万6340人降至今年的22万零129人。
然而，面临智能手机依赖风险的小学生人数有所增加。智能手机依赖意味着一个人需要接受指导来控制使用智能手机，并且可能难以遵守预定的屏幕时间或遇到视力和姿势问题。
今年，有1万6942名小学生面临过度依赖智能手机的风险，比去年的1万6699人略有增加。与去年相比，面临困难的女生由7091人减少至6855人，男生由9608人增加至1万零87人。
