Police in the Philippines have arrested the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Church, Apollo Quiboloy.
Philippine Interior Secretary Jose Abalos said in a Facebook post on Sunday that Kiboloi had been apprehended, but did not say how or where.
Kiboloy is an influential evangelical Christian preacher who describes himself as "the owner of the universe" and "the appointed Son of God" with millions of followers. He faces sex crimes, sexual abuse and human trafficking charges in the Philippines and is on the FBI's most wanted list for sex trafficking and cash smuggling. He denies any wrongdoing.
In August, Philippine police deployed more than 2,000 officers to search the Kingdom Church of Jesus Christ in the city of Davao. The police suspect he is hiding in a hole in the ground there.
Kiboloy is also a longtime friend of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
