5月份，日本连续第三个月接待游客超过300万人次，日元疲软推动入境旅游继续保持创纪录水平。
路透社报道，日本国家旅游局的数据显示，上个月，商务和休闲外国游客人数为304万人次，与4月份的水平持平，略低于3月份的历史月度最高纪录。
上个月的入境人次比去年同期增长60%，比2019年5月增长9.6%。在冠病大流行导致全球边境关闭之前，2019年日本接待了创纪录的3190万人次游客。
日元疲软，兑美元汇率跌至34年来的最低点，促进日本旅游业的繁荣，对经济来说是个好消息。据国家旅游局称，2024年第一季度游客支出创下了1.75万亿日元（约149亿新元）的纪录。
中国游客曾是日本最大的游客群体，但目前仍比冠病大流行前的水平低了约30%。日本国家旅游局的数据显示，来自其他市场的游客正在弥补不足，例如印度游客在5月份创下月度纪录。
日本旅游公司营销总监费尔德曼说，去年，来自印度的咨询量增长11倍，而来自阿联酋的咨询量增长近八倍。
费尔德曼说：“日本料理和自然风光最吸引他们。我们的大多数印度和阿联酋客户都会要求在行程中增加一些美食之旅，以及前往偏远和风景名胜区的外部旅行。”
