阿富汗西部星期六（10月7日）发生6.3级地震，已有约120人丧生，另有1000多人受伤。
法新社星期天（8日）报道，美国地质调查局（USGS）说，这场地震的震中位于第三大城市赫拉特西北约40公里处，随后还发生了8次余震，震级在4.3级到6.3级之间。
赫拉特省灾害管理部门负责人说，目前已有大约120人遇难、1000多人受伤，伤者中包括妇女老幼。新华社称，伤者均已送至赫拉特市的医院；位于赫拉特省津达詹区和古里安区的12座村庄被毁。
