韩国将于今年生产激光武器，用来击落朝鲜的无人机，成为首个在军队中部署和操作此类武器的国家。
韩联社报道，韩国防卫事业厅星期四（7月11日）发声明说，这是应用到“星球大战计划”的首个项目。
声明说，这个名为“Block-Ⅰ”的激光武器通过光纤生成传输的激光束直接烧毁目标，精准打击朝鲜小型无人机。这种武器无形无声，每次发射仅需2000韩元。
防卫事业厅称，这些武器将改变未来战场格局。
韩国政府于2019年8月投入871亿韩元预算，由国防科学研究所主管开发，韩华航空航天参与生产测试，去年4月获准用于执行实战任务。防卫事业厅6月同韩华航空航天签署合同，预计今年内交付并投入使用。
