自阿富汗塔利班夺取政权以来，女性政府工作人员被迫居家，当局本月起再削减她们的工资。
法新社报道，阿富汗财政部发言人艾哈迈德（Ahmad Wali Haqmal）星期一（7月8日）说，在家而不去办公室的女性工作人员，月薪降至5000阿富汗尼。获准在政府医院或学校等隔离区工作的妇女，将继续根据自身岗位领取工资。
此前，阿富汗公共部门女性工作人员，包括被迫离开校园的大学教授，最多可获得约3万5000阿富汗尼的工资。
在各部委担任行政职务的妇女可获得约2万阿富汗尼的薪水。但在塔利班夺取政权后，许多妇女的工资降到了约1万5000阿富汗尼。
一名出于安全原因不愿透露姓名的25岁女性，自2021年初以来一直在信息和文化部工作，她说自己原本的工资有1万阿富汗尼，但现在已经降薪了。
她说：“让妇女待在家里对我们来说已经是一个非常大的问题——我们的精神和心理状况都非常糟糕——现在我们的工资还降了，情况只会更糟。”
这名妇女的工资要养活包括生病母亲在内的一家七口，她说这笔钱只够勉强维持两周的生活。
阿富汗财政部发言人说，工资变动于7月生效，估计会影响数以万计在公共部门工作的妇女。
自2021年重新掌权以来，塔利班当局根据对回教法的严苛解读，限制了妇女的自由，联合国称之为“性别隔离”。妇女被排除在公共生活之外，包括被禁止接受教育、去公共公园、健身房和浴室。
