泰国一项最新民调发现，60.38%人“完全同意”把大麻重新列入受管制毒品。
《民族报》报道，泰国国家发展管理研究所的民调在5月14日至15日进行，共有1310名15岁以上的泰国人受访。其中，68.93%人从未食用过大麻，31.07%人则以某种方式食用过大麻。
民调显示，14.5%人“完全不同意”将大麻重新列为毒品，另有8.93% 人“相当不同意”。
当被问及他们对大麻的看法时，53.74%人认为大麻是毒品，但也很有用；33.59%人同样认为是毒品，但没有什么用处。
至于政府是否应该在大麻重新列为毒品后，对大麻种植者和商人进行补偿，46.95%人认为不应给予补偿，而35.03%人则认为应给予大麻种植者和商人补偿，另有10.08%人认为可补偿给种植者。
另外，74.58%的人认为政府应允许出于医疗目的使用大麻，另有19.39%人则认为不应制定任何政策，支持大麻产品的种植或制造。
泰国政府2018年批准大麻作医疗和研究用途，2022年将大麻无罪化，如今在当地开业的大麻商店有近8000家，另有超过100万户家庭已向当局登记种植大麻。
泰国首相社德他5月8日说，要在今年底前把大麻重新列入第五级管制毒品名单，并重申要大力打击毒品滥用问题，但会允许大麻继续作医疗和保健用途。
