（首尔法新电）韩国科技巨头三星电子（Samsung Electronics）收购了一家开发先进人工智能（AI）技术的英国起步公司，因市场对用于人工智能硬件的高端晶片的需求激增。
法新社星期四（7月18日）报道了三星电子的这个宣布。
三星的文告说，Oxford Semantic Technologies专注于知识图谱（knowledge graph）技术，这是一种在网络中存储复杂信息的更先进方式。
它指出，预计未来这个技术“不仅会应用于移动设备，还会应用于电视和家电等多种产品”。
三星并未透露这个交易的金额。
从生成能力例如根据简短指示编写文本，到电话对话的同声翻译，科技巨头们都在疯狂地竞相将人工智能技术更全面地应用于智能手机和其他消费产品中。
