路透社报道，印度驻加拿大高级专员公署星期三（10月25日）宣布，将从星期四（26日）起恢复入境签证、商务签证、医疗签字和会议签证服务。
根据之前的报道，在两国外交争端持续的背景下，印度外交部于9月21日宣布即日起暂停为加国公民提供签证服务，并将减少驻加外交官数量。
加拿大外交部长乔利上星期四（19日）说，印度方面已对加方下通牒，在上星期五（20日）之前，对加拿大驻印21名外交官及其家属之外的其余人员，取消外交豁免权。
另据法新社报道，印度驻加拿大高级专员公署星期三在一份声明中说：“在对安全局势进行深思熟虑的审查，并考虑到加拿大最近在这方面采取的一些措施之后，我们决定恢复签证服务。”
