日本外交部星期一（9月4日）晚说，日本已就福岛第一核电站启动核处理水排海后，中国全面禁止日本水产品进口，向世界贸易组织（WTO）提出申诉。
路透社报道，日本外交部称，中国对日本水产品实施进口禁令“完全不可接受”。
中国于8月31日向WTO通报了暂停日本水产品进口的措施。日本将在WTO相关委员会说明立场，并敦促中国立即取消这一行动。
日本一些官员此前已表明，可能就中国禁止日本水产品进口向WTO提出申诉。美国驻日本大使伊曼纽尔上周说，美国将对支持日本的行动。
日本外交部在周一发表的另一份声明中说，日本要求中国根据《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》（RCEP）的规定，就福岛相关进口禁令进行讨论。
面对中国全面禁止进口日本水产品，日本首相岸田文雄9月4日宣布，政府将额外拨款207亿日元（约1.91亿新元）支持渔业。
