马来西亚交通部今年2月宣布推行电子路税与电子驾照之后，交通部属下陆路交通局星期二（8月1日）起不再发放路税贴纸给私家车主及电单车主。
根据陆路交通局发布的告示，私家车主与电单车主8月1日起，必须透过陆路交通局手机应用MyJPJ查阅车辆或电单车的电子路税。
根据告示，车主仍可到陆路交通局柜台更新路税，并透过MyJPJ查询更新情况。
不过，陆路交通局指出，乐龄人士、外籍人士以及公司车主到陆路交通局柜台更新路税时，仍可获得实体路税贴纸。
交通部长陆兆福今年2月宣布，政府推行电子化私人轿车路税与驾照后，民众就不必在车辆上张贴实体路税贴纸。
