韩国统一部说，当局基于各种情况推测，朝鲜今年秋季农作物收成与往年基本相当，预计平壤将持续面临粮食短缺问题。
韩联社报道，韩国统一部发言人具炳衫星期一（9月25日）在例行记者会上公布《2022年度朝鲜粮食作物产量推算结果》报告。
报告估计，朝鲜2022年的粮食总产量为451万吨，其中大米产量为207万吨。若朝鲜今年秋季收成与往年差不多，粮食短缺危机或持续蔓延。
不过，俄罗斯驻朝大使马采戈拉9月17日接受俄媒采访时说，朝鲜今年农作物产量相当不错，也拒绝了俄方的粮食援助提议。
今年8月，韩国间谍机构报告称，朝鲜正面临大规模饥荒，在今年1月至7月间，约有240名朝鲜人饿死，这一数量是最近年均110人的两倍之多。
报告指出，朝鲜经济还陷入了恶性循环，从2020年到2022年的三年内持续出现经济负增长。
