Germany's Lufthansa Group said it would suspend all flights between Tel Aviv, Israel, and Tehran, Iran, and bypass Israeli and Iranian airspace until Sept. 19 due to "recent changes in the security situation."
The Lufthansa Group issued a statement saying the updated arrangements were effective immediately and the situation would be further assessed in the coming days.
The airlines of the Lufthansa Group include Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
Airlines have repeatedly suspended flights to the region since a new round of fighting between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7. In April, airlines such as Lufthansa Group also suspended some flights in the region after an Iranian attack on Israel.
