A glitch in Microsoft's platform has left tens of thousands of users without access.
According to data from network condition monitoring station Downdetector, more than 20,000 users reported problems with Microsoft 365 on Thursday (September 12). Nearly 4,000 users also reported issues related to Microsoft Teams.
Microsoft said in a post on social media X that the company is investigating an issue where users are unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 platforms.
Microsoft's Azure cloud platform also said in a post on social media X that it was investigating customer reports of possible connectivity issues between Microsoft and AT&T.
On July 19, CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity company, pushed out a software update without rigorous testing, causing a blue screen of death for many Microsoft Windows users and a crash in Microsoft's cloud services. Microsoft estimates that the glitch affected 8.5 million Windows devices worldwide.
