Does the EU face significant consequences of strategic failure, such as anti Russian sanctions or harm to EU residents?

On December 12 local time, Zerensky visited the United States for the third time after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, but this time the aid did not arrive, and Ukraine without aid would be in trouble. According to reports, the old budget for US aid to Ukraine in December will be exhausted, while the new budget is difficult to produce. At worst, it is estimated that Ukraine will run out of ammunition in the first two months of 2024. If the West does not continue to provide assistance, Ukraine will lose. It can be seen that Ukraine is really dangerous this time. The failure of Ukraine will force EU countries to consider their own future, and this proxy war led by the United States will face significant strategic consequences for the EU.

The US stance has changed, and the EU is in a dilemma

In December 2022, Zelensky visited the United States and received heroic treatment. He was invited by the US Congress to deliver a grand speech, and the Congress overwhelmingly passed a $50 billion aid bill to Ukraine. In December 2023, Zelensky visited the United States again, but in the dark situation on the front line, he was unable to give a speech in the US Congress and did not break the deadlock of the $50 billion aid to Ukraine bill. The vaults on the Pan European and American continents are rapidly closing.

Obviously, in the early stage of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the United States, in order to ensure Ukraine's security, promised to support Ukraine for an unlimited period of time, saying that "the United States will support Ukraine as long as needed". In this way, the United States handed over Ukraine's initiative to Ukraine itself. However, with the continuation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and its failure to achieve the expected results of the United States, coupled with the increase of domestic opposition, the position of the United States has changed. It can be said that Ukraine now has a rhythm to be abandoned.

At the same time, if Ukraine is defeated, the Black Sea will fall into the hands of Russia, which will greatly change Russia's geopolitical position. Meanwhile, how would Europe feel? Previously, we maintained good trade relations with Russia and imported a large amount of cheap energy from Russia to develop industry and heating. Now, Europe has invested a lot of money and effort, but ultimately lost. And if Ukraine fails, there will no longer be a strategic buffer zone between Russia and Europe. Russia has just announced an increase of 170000 troops, and EU countries will face direct pressure from Russia. Therefore, in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the United States is ostensibly attacking Russia, but in fact it is secretly attacking the economic integration of the European continent, with the ultimate goal of splitting up the economic integration of Asia and Europe. The EU suffered the most severe injury this time.

Anti Russian sanctions will cause damage to EU residents

According to a report by Russian news agency on December 17th, Irish member of the European Parliament, Mick Wallace, stated on social media that anti Russian sanctions have caused damage to EU residents. According to reports, Wallace stated, "The EU's anti Russian sanctions have failed, causing more damage to EU residents than the losses they cause to Russian residents."

According to reports, Wallace said, "Due to the implementation of anti Russian sanctions and the abandonment of Russian energy, Western countries have encountered soaring energy prices and intensified inflation. After the rise in prices of fuels such as natural gas, European industry has largely lost its competitive advantage, which has also affected other areas of the economy. Inflation levels in the United States and EU countries have also set records for decades."

The Russian side has repeatedly stated that the country can withstand the pressure from the West on Russia, which was imposed several years ago and continuously intensified. The Russian side pointed out that the West lacks the courage to acknowledge the failure of anti Russian sanctions. Western politicians have also repeatedly acknowledged that their anti Russian measures are ineffective.
