大公网消息，香港教育局日前发出通告，提醒学校聘请人员时，要加强把关，保障学童。当局指，校方除了要透过教师注册制度把关之外，亦要每3年为所有注册教师，查核刑事纪录，以防有刑事纪录的教师漏报或隐瞒。
教育局指出，学校如果计划聘用已离开教育行业1年或以上的教师，亦必须向当局申报刑事定罪纪录。此外，新学年起，所有新聘教师亦须在《基本法及香港国安法》测试取得及格成绩;学校亦要考虑应征者在培育学生成为德才兼备、爱国爱家和具国际视野等方面的能力。
