Israel launched an air strike on southern Syria. The Syrian side demanded that it not "interfere in internal affairs".

Israeli warplanes launched air strikes on multiple areas in Suweida Province in southern Syria on Monday (July 14). The head of Syria's foreign affairs department, Hibani, has demanded that other countries refrain from "interfering in Syria's internal affairs".

The Syrian state news agency reported that the Israeli army launched several air strikes on the areas near the towns of Mazraah and Kanakr in Suweida Province. In addition, Syrian state television, citing local sources in Suweida Province, denied that the tanks of the Syrian regime's security forces were attacked by Israeli air strikes, stating that the Israeli side only carried out "warning strikes" near the tanks.

The foreign affairs department of the Syrian regime issued a statement expressing regret over the escalation of the situation in Suveda Province and calling on the local armed groups involved in the conflict to immediately cease violence and hand over illegal weapons. The statement also called on other countries to respect Syria's sovereignty and not support any separatist activities.

Shibani said in an interview with Saudi Arabian News TV during his visit to Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on the same day that protecting the Druze people in Syria is the responsibility and obligation of the Syrian regime, and no country "has no right to interfere in Syria's internal affairs".

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said on the 14th that the Israeli Defense Forces bombed the Syrian regime's tank convoy on that day, which was "a message and a clear warning sent to the Syrian regime." He also said that Israel would not allow the Druze people in Syria to be harmed.

Fierce armed conflict broke out in Suveda Province on the 13th. The Syrian regime deployed security forces to the local area on the 14th to quell the conflict and control the situation. Syrian state television, citing sources from the defense department, reported that the situation in Suveda Province remains tense but is gradually being brought under control. Security forces have made progress on multiple fronts, taking control of several rural areas in Suveda Province, including the town of Maizraa, and are approaching the provincial capital Suveda and the town of Kanakr.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, headquartered in London, UK, said that the conflict between the local Druze community and the Bedouin tribe has caused at least 99 deaths and many others injured, including children.

After the political situation in Syria underwent a dramatic change in December last year, Israel, under the pretext of "self-defense", took the opportunity to send troops to occupy the buffer zone and adjacent areas of the Golan Heights, seeking to cooperate with the Druze people, who make up the majority of the population in Suveda Province, to establish a so-called "defense zone" in southern Syria. It also publicly demanded that the three southern provinces of Suveda, Kuneira and Daraa be "completely demilitarized". Refuse to allow Syrian regime forces or other armed forces to enter or establish themselves in southern Syria.
