美国警告朝鲜，向俄罗斯转移武器将面对更多制裁。克里姆林宫回应说，重要的是国家利益，而不是华盛顿的警告，并称俄罗斯总统普京目前没有必要跟西方领导人见面。
路透社报道，克里姆林宫发言人佩斯科夫星期二（9月12日）告诉俄罗斯媒体：“在处理邻国关系包括俄罗斯和朝鲜的关系时，对我们来说重要的是我们两国之间的利益，而不是来自华盛顿的警告。我们将关注的是我们两国的利益。”
他说，总统普京将与到访的朝鲜领导人金正恩讨论双边关系、地区局势和全球事务。
美国国务院星期一说，朝鲜向俄罗斯转移武器将违反多项联合国安理会决议，美国将毫不犹豫地对朝鲜祭出更多制裁。
对此，佩斯科夫说，如有必要，俄方准备就美国制裁与“我们的朝鲜同志”进行讨论。他透露，普京出席了东方经济论坛后，就会和金正恩会面。
东方经济论坛9月10日至13日在俄罗斯远东城市符拉迪沃斯托克（中国称海参崴）举行。
