The moderators of the US presidential debate have asked Donald Trump after he said he took credit for the High Court's decision to overturn a landmark ruling upholding a woman's right to an abortion, and asked him to clarify his position on the issue.
Trump first said that Democrats want to allow women to have abortions in the "ninth month" of pregnancy. He said the Democratic Party is "radical" on the issue, claiming that Woltz, Harris' vice presidential pick, in particular advocates abortion for women who are nine months pregnant.
Trump went on to say that the issue would be left up to the states to decide, and said he believed rape and incest cases could be treated differently.
Harris said abortion rights should be in the hands of women themselves.
