法新社报道，彩票机构星期二（8月8日）在一份声明中说：“在经历31次抽奖未有人中大奖后，佛州的一名幸运儿将在赢得史上最高的超级百万彩票大奖后，庆祝2023年的夏天，目前估计彩金为15.8亿美元。”
这次的中奖金额预计将打破“超级百万彩票”在2018年创下15.37亿美元最高彩金的记录。
另据美国媒体报道，一旦上述中奖金额得到确认，这将是美国史上第三高的彩票中奖金额。
当天开出的中奖号码为13、19、20、32、33，以及金球14。
大奖得主的身份尚未确定，他可以选择直接领取约7.83亿美元的现金，或分30年领取全部奖金。
