日本石川县星期五（1月12日）上午公布最新统计数据，能登半岛7.6级地震在石川县造成的死亡人数上升至215人。
新华社报道，新增死者中，有一人是在海啸中遇难，这也是此次地震中发现的第一个海啸遇难者。
截至星期五上午，石川县还有38人下落不明，约2500人处于孤立无援状态，超过2万4000人寄身于避难所。
日本首相岸田文雄在星期四（11日）晚间的记者会上说，当前恢复灾区基础设施或住宅需要很长时间，政府正在讨论让更多灾民先转移到更安全的临时住所，进行“二次避难”。
石川县政府已开始在此次地震受灾严重的轮岛和珠洲等地修建临时安置房。据介绍，此次共修建115套临时安置房，大概一个月后可以建好，原则上灾民可以居住两年。
星期四夜间，能登半岛继续发生多次余震。日本气象厅说，截至日本时间星期五上午9时（新加坡时间星期五上午8时），能登半岛地区已观测到震度（中国称地震烈度）5弱以上的地震15次，震度3以上的地震超过150次。
