美国费城联邦储备银行进行的一项调查发现，美国消费者越来越担心来年能否避免入不敷出，年入10万美元甚至以上的人士也不例外。
彭博社报道，逾三分之一的调查受访者担心未来六个月入不敷出，比例高于一年前的28.7％。对未来七个至12个月存忧的消费者比例也上升。
在4月能够全额支付账单的受访者中，四分之一以上的人为接下来的六个月担忧，一年前这一比例为五分之一。高收入者的焦虑更甚，年收入至少15万美元者中，约有30％担心未来六个月的财务状况。
三分之二以上的受访者采取了某些措施来应对过去一年中日益增加的财务压力，例如削减支出、不再按月付账单或找份兼职。年收入15万美元及以上人群中，逾14％说自己提前从退休储蓄中提取了资金。
费城联储3月22日至4月6日对5000名美国消费者进行的该调查还显示，已经无力支付账单的消费者比例也在上升。
谈及支付能力时，22.5％的受访者表示自己无法支付4月的部分或全部账单，较上年同期增加了2.7个百分点。遇到这一麻烦的富裕消费者比例翻倍，从3.4％升至6.9％。
