主管亚太经济合作组织（APEC）事务的美国高官默里说，美国将致力于争取同与会领导人达成共识，以发表强有力的联合声明。
路透社报道，APEC领导人非正式会议将于星期三至星期五（11月15日－17日）在旧金山举行，但各成员国在以巴和俄乌战事的问题上意见分歧，为峰会草拟联合声明带来一定难度。
默里（Matt Murray）星期一（13日）说，美方正努力促成与会领导人在峰会上发表联合声明。他坦承，过去几年，俄乌战事导致各国在草拟声明时存在很多摩擦，但泰国去年主办的APEC峰会取得了各国领导人的共识，美国希望今年也能做到。
他说：“我们正在与所有志同道合的APEC伙伴和经济体一起合作，共同努力实现这样的结果。”
去年在曼谷发表的APEC联合声明除誓言维护多边贸易体系，也指“大多数”领导人谴责俄罗斯在乌克兰发动战事。
