国际货币基金组织（IMF）和世界银行在二十国集团（G20）峰会前夕，罕见发表联合声明，承诺加强合作，以共同应对气候变化、债务脆弱性和各国进行数码转型的问题。
路透社报道，IMF总裁格奥尔基耶娃和世行行长彭安杰（Ajay Banga），星期四（9月7日）发布联合声明说，IMF和世行可以协助全球应对日益严峻的挑战，包括越来越频繁发生的气候灾害、经济增长放缓以及地缘政治分裂。
联合声明说：“布雷顿森林体系的机构，拥有全球会员资格和专业知识，完全有能力帮助世界各国应对这些艰巨的挑战。”
布雷顿森林协议和体系（The Bretton Woods Agreement and System），是指第二次世界大战后以美元为中心的一项国际货币体系协定。IMF和世行于1944年在美国新罕布什尔州举行的布雷顿森林会议上成立。
今年6月上任的彭安杰，星期六将首次以世行行长身份出席G20峰会。除履行世行的反贫困传统使命，他还获授权扩大世行资源，以帮助各国应对气候变化、大流行病、债务脆弱性等全球危机。
为期两天的G20峰会9月9日在印度新德里开幕。
