韩联社星期三（9月27日）引述消息人士报道，美国政府可能最早于本周宣布，无限期豁免韩国三星电子和SK海力士对中国出口美国晶片设备的禁令。
三星电子和SK海力士去年获得美国商务部给予的一年期豁免，将于10月11日到期。
多名消息人士透露，美国商务部将更新“最终民用厂商”（validated end user）名单，显示哪些实体可取得技术出口，以准许三星和SK海力士能持续取得某些美国的晶片制造工具。
一旦被列入这项名单，就不需要为个别的出口案件取得许可。三星和SK海力士拒绝评论。
报道称，美国商务部一直在与三星和SK海力士进行讨论，考虑到这些公司的未来计划，指定可以引入其中国生产线的设备，因为在未来几年还需要升级设备才能开展业务。
美国政府去年对中国实施了一系列贸易限制措施，包括三星和SK海力士在内的韩国企业是在获得美国制裁豁免才可继续在中国运营。
