The German news agency reported that the German naval forces will be deployed to the Mediterranean Sea to prepare for possible missions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Xinhua News Agency, citing a report from DPA, said that German Defense Minister Pistorius said on Saturday (April 25th) that a minesweeper and a command and supply ship would be deployed. He did not disclose the specific departure time of the vessels.

According to a report by Reuters, Turkish Foreign Minister Fettah Tanin said that if Iran and the United States reach a peace agreement, Turkey might consider participating in the mine-clearing operation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Fetan said to reporters in London on Friday evening that after any agreement is reached, a technical team will be sent to the Strait of Hormuz to carry out mine clearance work. He also added that Turkey is in principle supportive of such actions and considers it a humanitarian obligation for Turkey.

Fetan said that any mine-clearing operation would be handled by a technical team composed of experts from multiple countries. This team would be formed after Iran and the United States reach a possible peace agreement. Under these conditions, Turkey "does not oppose" participating in the mine-clearing operation.

Fetan warned that if any future technological alliance formed by any country gets involved in a new conflict, Turkey will reassess its position. He believes that issues related to Iran's nuclear program can be resolved in the next round of talks to be held in Pakistan.
