Starmer said at a press conference on Thursday (March 5) that Britain has the right plan and had pre-deployed military equipment in the region before the outbreak of war.
Reuters quoted him as saying: "My focus is on providing calm, rational leadership to protect national interests.
This means mobilizing military and diplomatic forces to protect our people, and it means having the courage to firmly defend our values and principles, regardless of the pressure." He said that Britain will send four more Typhoon fighter jets to join its squadron in Qatar to strengthen its defense operations in Qatar and the surrounding region.
