Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky talked about the three key elements of security guarantees provided by the United States, the European Union and other relevant parties for Ukraine, with a focus on maintaining Ukraine's armed forces and Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
Xinhua News Agency reported that Zelensky posted on social media on Monday (December 22) that security guarantees for Ukraine include those for Ukraine itself, the United States and Europe. First, the Ukrainian side maintains an armed force of 800,000 people and receives military support. Second, Ukraine has obtained the membership of the European Union to enjoy various guarantees in terms of economy, military and security. Thirdly, the "Volunteer Alliance" provides support in air defense, intelligence and other areas to ensure the security of Ukraine's land, sea and air.
Zelensky said that the key security guarantees provided by the US side will be passed by the US Congress and have legal binding force.
In response to the recent talks held by the Ukrainian delegation with the US and European delegations in Florida, USA, Zelensky said that the "peace Plan" consists of 20 points and the relevant work on the initial draft has been completed.
He said, "The core (content) of all the documents is ready," but there are still some contents that the Ukrainian or Russian sides are "not ready" to accept.
