The NATO defense ministers announced on Thursday (February 12th) a new round of $35 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

Bloomberg reported that NATO defense ministers held a meeting in Brussels on the 12th to discuss issues such as NATO defense and support for Ukraine.

At the press conference held that night, British Defense Minister Hilli said that after discussions by the "Ukraine Defense Liaison Organization", all parties committed to providing a new round of military assistance worth a total of 35 billion US dollars to Ukraine. The military assistance to Ukraine provided by the Ukraine Defense Liaison Organization in 2025 was 45 billion US dollars.

Hily said at a press conference attended by Ukrainian Defence Minister Fiodorov, German Defence Minister Pistorius and NATO Secretary-General Ruttet: "The four of us will do our utmost to ensure that in the new year's beginning, Ukraine receives a major commitment from us."

He said: "We can save lives, we can put pressure on (Russian President) Putin, we can reach a peace agreement, but the prerequisite is that we must be united."

Pistolius disclosed that during the meeting, he stated that if other allies also increased the delivery of 30 PAC-3 interceptor missiles, Germany would voluntarily provide an additional 5 PAC-3 missiles.

"We all know that this is for the sake of saving lives. Not all the allies have approved the delivery, but I am very optimistic that we can achieve the goal of 30 plus 5."

Fyodorov said that Ukraine is cooperating with the United States to purchase anti-aircraft systems and intercepting missiles.

Rutte said after the meeting that Ukraine "urgently needs more anti-aircraft systems", which are needed to defend against the continuous attacks from Russia and to enhance Ukraine's "combat capabilities" as much as possible.

He said: "Our continuous support for Ukraine ensures that they can withstand the current aggression, and also ensures that they can deter and resist any future aggression. We promise that we will maintain this level of support, both now and in the future, to the best of our ability."

Some foreign media have noted that US Secretary of Defense Hagges did not attend the NATO defense ministers' meeting on the 12th, and US Deputy Secretary of Defense Corby attended on his behalf.
