The US State Department on Monday urged American citizens to evacuate the Middle East region immediately, including 10 or more Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, stating that there are "security risks" in the region.

Reuters reported that Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs of the US Department of State, Namdar, posted on social media on Monday (March 2nd) that due to security risks, he called on US citizens to use still-operating commercial transportation to evacuate from Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

The US Embassy in Jordan announced earlier on Monday that its staff had been evacuated from the embassy due to "security threats".

An American official stated that the State Department has established a cross-departmental emergency working group to address the current situation and coordinate the United States' response to this conflict.
