A spokesperson for the office of the South Korean President, Kang Yoo-jin, said on Sunday (August 10) that President Lee Jae-myung will send a special delegation to Indonesia from August 11 to 13, and the list of members has been determined.
The Yonhap News Agency reported that the special delegation was led by Cho Jeong-sil, a lawmaker of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea, and the accompanying members included lawmakers Seo Young-kyo and Lee Jae-kang. During the visit, the special delegation will meet with the main political figures of Indonesia, deliver a personal letter from Lee Jae-myung, convey the determination to further consolidate the "Korea-Indonesia Special Strategic Partnership", and express the willingness to enhance bilateral friendly cooperation.
Both sides are expected to have in-depth exchanges on issues such as expanding mutually beneficial and practical cooperation in areas like trade, investment, military industry, energy and digital transformation, as well as deepening cooperation between South Korea and ASEAN.
