The Indonesian anti-Corruption Commission: The deputy minister of Manpower has been arrested on suspicion of corruption and is under investigation

The anti-Corruption Commission of Indonesia announced that Deputy Minister of Manpower Emmanuel Ebinidze has been arrested on suspicion of extortion and is under investigation.

Fitroh Rohcahyanto, vice chairman of the anti-Corruption Commission, told Reuters on Thursday (August 21) that the arrest of Immanuel Ebenezer was related to an investigation into violations in the issuance of security licenses by his department.

The Ministry of Manpower has not immediately responded to a request for comment. It is not clear whether the minister has been charged with any crime.
