More than 100 cities in the United States held demonstrations to protest against the US attack on Venezuela and oppose the use of force to overthrow the regimes of other countries.

Xinhua News Agency reported that the demonstrations launched by the anti-war organization "Act Now to Stop War and Eliminate Racism" alliance on Saturday (January 3rd) were held in 105 cities including Washington, Los Angeles, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Dallas and Miami.

The organizers said in a statement that the war launched by the United States would bring death and destruction to the Venezuelan people, while consuming a large amount of funds from American taxpayers, and ordinary working-class families are still struggling to make ends meet.

The statement also pointed out that the American people do not wish to experience another war and expressed opposition to the US military operation against Venezuela.

Among them, some demonstrators held up the Venezuelan flag in Times Square, New York, and held banners with slogans such as "Defend Venezuela, release Maduro", "Don't interfere in Venezuelan affairs", "The United States, get out of the Caribbean", "Oppose war against Venezuela", and "(US President) Trump must step down", and shouted slogans.

A demonstrator from Venezuela spoke at the rally, saying, "Listen to how arrogant Trump's speech is!" He said, "I want all your oil, all your land, and all your property." The Venezuelan people will never agree. They will resist to the end!
