中国黄金价格较伦敦的溢价不断上升，本地交易员称，这一趋势主要因政府在限制黄金进口。
据彭博社星期四（8月24日）报道，根据彭博汇编数据，8月14日上海现货黄金价格要比伦敦高出40多美元（约54新元），为五个多月来最高溢价。虽然中国消费需求依然低迷，但价差自6月末以来稳步扩大。
据交易员和进口商透露，中国限制黄金进口的举动或是价差扩大的主要因素。
因消息未公开而要求匿名的知情人士称，中国政府已减少或停止向部分银行发放进口配额。两位知情人士称，这导致过去几个月相关流动下降，且受影响的配额再次发行暂时无望。限制进口的原因尚不清楚。
世界黄金协会上周在报告中指出，中国黄金供应趋紧是出现溢价的原因，但没有详细说明。
一位知情人士称，虽然还有黄金仍在进入中国，但订单量很低。中国6月份非货币性黄金进口环比下降35%，降至1月份以来最低水平。
中国央行通常会向金融机构发放黄金进口配额，不过关于进口量的具体细节从未公开披露。
