Tehran, the capital of Iran, was hit by an Israeli air strike again early Wednesday morning (June 18th), with dense explosions heard over the city. Israeli media reported that in the early hours of that day, Iran launched two rounds of missile strikes against Israel.

Xinhua News Agency reported that at 1:39 a.m. on Wednesday, dense explosions were heard over Tehran and lasted for about 20 minutes. Xinhua News Agency reporters saw an unidentified flying object being intercepted in the air.

The Israel Defense Forces said in the early hours of the same day that the Israeli air Force was launching a series of air strikes on Tehran. Earlier, the Israeli military posted on social media that it would soon launch an air strike on military facilities in the 18th district in the southwest of Tehran and urged local residents to evacuate to ensure their lives and safety.

According to The Times of Israel, in the early hours of Wednesday, Iran launched two rounds of missile attacks on Israel in less than an hour, firing a total of 25 missiles. In the second round of attacks, residents of Tel Aviv heard explosions. The report said that the attack caused fires in many places in Israel and no casualties have been reported yet.

The newspaper also quoted Israeli officials as saying that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu "just ended" his phone call with US President Trump. The report did not mention the specific content of the call. Trump earlier convened the national security team to discuss the Israeli-Iran conflict and called for an "unconditional ceasefire" in Iran.
