The Israeli army confirmed that the leader of Hamas has died

(Khan Yunis) The Israeli military said it killed Hamas military leader Mohammed Sinwar in an underground tunnel of a hospital in southern Gaza. He is the younger brother of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

On Sunday (June 8th), the Israeli army led a small group of foreign journalists to show the tunnel discovered beneath the Khan Yunis European Hospital in southern Gaza and claimed that it was an important command and control center for Hamas.

Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Devlin said, "This is yet another example of Hamas' wanton exploitation of civilians. Time and again, they use civilians as human shields and exploit civilian infrastructure and hospitals."

Daverin also said that the Israeli army discovered a courtyard consisting of several rooms directly beneath the hospital emergency room. We killed Muhammad Sinwar in one of the rooms.

The Israeli army has also discovered the remains of other Palestinian armed personnel and is currently identifying their identities.

The Israeli army said that they launched the raid on May 13th, killing not only Mohamed Sinwar but also Mohammad Shabana, the commander of Hamas' Rafah Brigade. The Israeli army also seized weapons reserves, ammunition, cash and documents during the operation.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu first announced the death of Mohammed Sinwar on May 28. Daverin said that they have now obtained his deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and have determined that the deceased was him.

Hamas has not commented on the deaths of the two people yet.
