A hospital in Gaza said that 21 children in the Gaza Strip have died of malnutrition or hunger in the past three days.

AFP reported that Salmia, the head of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, said on Tuesday (July 22) that these deaths were recorded in hospitals in the Gaza Strip in the past 72 hours, including Al-Shifa Hospital and Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in the south.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on Monday (21st) that there are more and more reports of malnutrition among children and adults in Gaza, and pointed out that the last line of defense that sustains lives is collapsing.

Salmia also said that the hospitals still in operation in Gaza are "constantly" receiving new cases of malnutrition and hunger. Due to the hunger suffered by the people of Gaza, we are facing an astonishing death toll.

Reuters reported that Palestinian health officials said that since the outbreak of the Israel-Kazakhstan conflict, 101 people have starved to death in Gaza, including 80 children. In the past 24 hours, 15 deaths have been reported.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Office said on Tuesday that as of July 21, as many as 1,054 people had been killed in the Gaza Strip while seeking food. Among them, 766 were killed near the facilities of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, and the remaining 288 lost their lives near the aid teams of the United Nations and other humanitarian aid organizations.
