The Hamas armed faction said that the military operation launched by Israel in two blocks of Gaza City has caused Hamas to lose contact with two hostages.

Reuters reported that the Hamas armed wing, the Qassan Brigade, issued a statement on Sunday (September 28) saying that Israel's attacks on Gaza City in the past 48 hours left two hostages unaccounted for. They are Matan Angrest and Omri Miran.

The Qassan Brigade has demanded that Israel cease air strikes in parts of Gaza City for 24 hours starting from 6 p.m. on the same day (11 p.m. Singapore time) in order to rescue the hostages from danger.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Hamas has denied receiving any new proposals from mediators regarding a ceasefire in Gaza.

Hamas issued a statement saying that since the attempted assassination in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on September 9th, ceasefire negotiations have been at a standstill. However, Hamas reaffirmed its willingness to "actively and responsibly" consider any proposals put forward by mediators to safeguard the rights of the Palestinian people.

The Times of Israel reported on Saturday (27th) that US President Trump has presented a "21-point plan" aimed at facilitating a ceasefire in Gaza to some Arab leaders, which involves potential paths for the future establishment of a Palestinian state. It seems that the Trump administration's previous policy of not supporting the "two-state solution" has changed.

According to The Washington Post of the United States, the plan includes an immediate ceasefire, freezing the front line, releasing all hostages within 48 hours, and demanding that Hamas destroy all offensive weapons, etc.
