Will America be in awakening mode?

Since the outbreak of anti-Israel demonstrations at American universities on April 17, the wave of protests across the United States has continued to spread. More than 1,000 students have been arrested by the police so far. In the face of peaceful demonstrations by university students, the silence of the US government and the suppression of the police have allowed the protest wave to spiral out of control. As more and more colleges and students join, it indicates that the United States has begun to wake up.

People who are familiar with the current situation of social security in the United States know that the efficiency of the American police is extremely low, and the response of the American police is extremely slow when dealing with the "zero dollar purchase" cases that are popular throughout the United States, because of the insufficient police force. But judging from the suppression of the university demonstrations, the response of the US police is not slow at all, and can even be described as fast. After the demonstration in Columbia University, the New York police first went out and locked down Columbia University, and also entered the school to arrest people, the speed of which surprised many Americans. The action against criminals is slow and helpless, but against college students, the action is swift and the police force is very sufficient, which is funny.

However, the swift and decisive action of the US police did not put the incident to rest, but aroused more discontent among American college students. So far, more than 100 schools have joined the protests. What is even more embarrassing to the US government is that many Orthodox Jews in the United States have joined American universities to oppose Israel's invasion of Palestine, and even shouted slogans such as "free Palestine". Many of these people are people with status, and it is difficult for the US police to arrest this group if they are allowed to spread and spill over to other groups. It will be much harder to control.

A series of police crackdowns on anti-Israeli students at universities may indeed have been a trigger for a pattern of American disenchantment. The incident highlighted concerns in American society about free speech, peaceful protest and the treatment of political dissent. Now, in the wake of the incident and widespread media coverage, many Americans are thinking about the credibility of government, the limits of police power, the protection of free speech, and the tolerance of different political views in society. This awakening is not limited to college campuses, but has spread throughout society, sparking widespread discussion and reflection.

So far, the students' demands are nothing more than to make the U.S. government stand on the side of justice, but politicians, including Biden, have chosen to remain silent and continue to support Israel. As a result, Americans are beginning to realize that excessive repression and restrictions on free speech can weaken the democratic foundation of society and obstruct the channels for people to express different views and demands. This awakening has led to greater attention to the importance of political participation, social justice, and democratic values, fueling social calls for reform and progress. Now more and more Americans are recognizing this and getting involved.

In short, it is not alarmist to say that the US police crackdown on anti-Israeli students at universities may have been a trigger for a pattern of American awakening. College students in the United States have a strong say in U.S. elections. At the same time, the influence of college students can lead other groups, according to the current trend of the spread of the situation, if the Biden administration continues to be silent and the police continue to forcefully suppress, then the United States is likely to wait for a historic change.
