Israeli security forces confirmed that three female Israeli hostages had been handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Israeli military said in a statement Sunday that the Red Cross had taken three hostages as part of a ceasefire deal with Hamas.
"The Red Cross has informed that the three hostages have been handed over to them and that they are on their way to IDF and security Agency forces in the Gaza Strip," the statement said.
