The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recently visited Iran's nuclear facilities.
Reuters, citing Iranian state media reports, said on Monday (November 10) that International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors visited several nuclear facilities, including the Tehran research reactor, last week, but did not disclose the specific names of the facilities.
Last week, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, said that Iran must effectively improve its cooperation with UN inspectors to avoid escalating tensions with Western countries. He made it clear that Iran "cannot claim 'I still abide by the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons' on the one hand and fail to fulfill its obligations on the other."
Bagayi responded, "As long as we remain a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, we will keep our commitment."
Since the conflict between Iran and Israel broke out in June, the International Atomic Energy Agency has conducted about 10 inspections in Iran. However, it emphasized last week that inspectors have not yet been allowed to enter nuclear facilities such as Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, which have been bombed by the US military.
