The Iranian armed forces claim to have made "100 percent" combat readiness

The central headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces in Hatam Abima said that the Iranian Armed Forces have made "100 percent" combat preparations and will give the invaders a more severe lesson.

Xinhua News Agency reported that Iran's Tasnim News Agency, citing a spokesperson from the Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters on Wednesday (April 22) morning, said that in the event of any aggression against Iran, the Iranian armed forces would immediately launch a fierce attack on the designated targets, giving the "even harsher lesson" to the US and Israeli aggressors than before.

He said that the Iranian armed forces "have already been fully prepared for combat and are ready to open fire at any time".

Tasnim News Agency reported on the evening of the 21st that the Iranian side officially refused to attend the second round of talks between Iran and the United States scheduled to be held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on the 22nd. The report stated that the Iranian side believed that the United States was preventing any substantive agreement from being reached, and participating in the negotiations was a complete waste of time. Iran also announced this news through the Pakistani side, stating that the Iranian delegation would not go to Pakistan on the 22nd in order to fully safeguard the rights of the Iranian people.

US President Trump announced on the 21st, just a few hours before the US-Iran ceasefire agreement was set to expire, that in response to the request of the mediation party, Pakistan, he agreed to extend the ceasefire period until Iran submits a "unified plan" and completes the negotiations; at the same time, he instructed the US military to continue the maritime blockade against Iran and maintain a state of readiness.
