The UK and over 20 other countries have called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, describing the aid model of the Israeli government as "dangerous, exacerbating instability and depriding Gazans of their dignity".

Reuters reported that the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, Canada, Denmark and other countries issued a joint statement on Monday (July 21), saying: "We jointly send a simple and urgent message: The Gaza war must end immediately."

The statement said: "We are prepared to take further action to support an immediate ceasefire and open up a political path to security and peace for Israelis, Palestinians, and the entire region."

The statement also said that more than 800 Palestinians have lost their lives while seeking aid, and condemned what the Israeli government called "sporadic aid and inhumane killings of civilians".

Most of the deaths occurred near the sites of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). With the support of the United States and Israel, this foundation has taken over the aid distribution work in Gaza from the UN-led network.

The United Nations said that the model of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation was unsafe and violated the standards of humanitarian justice, but the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation denied this.
