The United States issued a global security warning to its citizens

The United States has issued a global security warning to its citizens, stating that the conflict in the Middle East may expose Americans traveling or residing overseas to higher security risks.

AFP reported that the US State Department issued a statement on Sunday (June 22) saying that the conflict between Israel and Iran has led to travel disruptions and the regular closure of airspace in the Middle East. Due to the risk of demonstrations targeting American citizens and overseas interests, the State Department advises American citizens around the world to be vigilant. When planning a trip, pay attention to the travel advice issued by The State Council, national information and the latest security alerts.

The State Council statement did not mention the US raid on three key nuclear facilities in Iran the previous day. Tehran has warned that the US attack will have "irreversible consequences".

Iran warned on Sunday that the US military bases in the Middle East might be subject to retaliatory attacks. U.S. Defense Secretary John Hegseth said that the air strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities have been a huge success and Iran's nuclear ambitions have been crushed.

Verayati, the senior international affairs advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said in a statement to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) of Iran: "Any regional country or other local country used by the US military to attack Iran is regarded as a legitimate target of our military."

The United States began evacuating American citizens and permanent residents living in Israel or the West Bank from Israel on Saturday (the 21st), and ordered the personnel of the US diplomatic missions in Iraq and Lebanon to leave Iraq and Lebanon.
