The Iranian Strait of Hormuz Authority said on Friday (June 26) that all ships passing through the Hormuz Strait must follow the prescribed routes and procedures. Ships that deviate from the designated routes will not be able to ensure safe passage.

Reuters reported that on Friday (June 26th), the Persian Gulf Shipping Authority (PGSA) announced on the X platform that "the consequences resulting from unauthorized navigation will be borne by the shipowner, operator and captain themselves."

In May, the Supreme National Security Council of Iran established the Persian Gulf Strait Administration, which is specifically responsible for managing the navigation affairs of the Strait of Hormuz.

The UK maritime agency "UK Maritime Trade Operations Office" (UKMTO) announced on the 25th that a cargo ship was hit by an unidentified projectile about 7.5 nautical miles southeast of Amadhat on the 25th. The damaged area was on the right side of the ship and the bridge was damaged. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Four sources confirmed that the vessel that was attacked was the container ship "Ever Lovely" flying the Singapore flag. A security department source stated that this ship was likely targeted by a drone.

Xinhua News Agency reported that on the 19th, the Iranian side issued a notice stating that within the time frame stipulated in the memorandum of understanding, any vessel that submits a navigation application to the Persian Gulf Strait Administration in accordance with the requirements will have its navigation arrangements processed promptly.

The relevant requirements are as follows: The application must be submitted 48 hours before arriving in the strait area; the application must be submitted to the department's website or email; and the route and navigation time coordination must be carried out in advance according to the announced schedule.
