《纽约时报》星期三（12月27日）控告科技巨头微软和ChatGPT开发商OpenAI侵害著作权，指控它们未经许可使用《纽约时报》数以百万篇文章，以训练聊天机器人。
《纽约时报》已经在纽约曼哈顿联邦法院提交诉状，是第一家控告OpenAI和其它热门人工智慧（AI）开发商的美国大型媒体机构。
《纽约时报》在诉状中提到，微软公司和OpenAI试图搭便车，并要求两家公司删除包括《纽约时报》内容的聊天机器人模型和训练资料。
这起官司并不包含确切的金钱赔偿，但《纽约时报》认为，被告应对非法复制和使用《纽约时报》“独一无二、有价值的作品，所造成数十亿美元的法定和实际损失负起责任”。
诉状称，《纽约时报》今年4月曾与微软和OpenAI联系，但未能达成友好解决方案。微软和OpenAI尚未作出回应。
《华尔街日报》报道指，这起官司将对媒体业的未来影响深远。
