Iran has announced a ban on the export of steel products. The Iranian steel industry had previously been subjected to air strikes.

Fars News Agency reported on Tuesday (April 28th) that the Iranian customs authorities have issued a directive prohibiting the export of steel products, including steel billets, steel plates and steel strips, etc. This directive came into effect on April 26th.

A few days before the ceasefire on April 8th, Israel carried out air strikes on Iran, destroying 70% of Iran's steel production capacity, while also attacking Iran's petrochemical facilities and transportation infrastructure.
