Israeli media reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu accepted the ceasefire plan for Gaza proposed by the United States.

The Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu told the families of the hostages earlier on Thursday (May 29) that he was prepared to advance the latest temporary ceasefire and hostage agreement proposal from US President's Special Envoy for the Middle East, Witkov.

Israeli officials said the proposal includes Hamas releasing the 10 surviving Israeli hostages held in Gaza and returning the bodies of 18 hostages in exchange for a 60-day ceasefire.
